The driving tests application is similar to the one from the DMV knowledge test. You will also find here tests for cars, motorcycles and cdl permit, that contain a series of random questions from the selected category, which must be solved in proportion to 72%, just like in the official New Mexico knowledge exam.
For CAR permit, You will have to answer at least 18 questions correctly to pass the exam, so you can get a maximum of 7 questions wrong. Study under identical conditions to those from the official driving test, so you will be more relaxed and emotionless when you are in the exam room.
The wrong questions are fallowed by clear and logical explanations, which you can see at the end of each NM permit test. An average of 2 hours a day spent here will guarantee your success in the exam and, more than that, it will make you a perfect driver, who knows the traffic rules and the road legislation. Success!
In New Mexico, obtaining a driver's license has a few unique aspects compared to other states. One of the most notable differences is the requirement for a "Graduated Driver’s License" (GDL) for drivers under 18. This system includes a learner’s permit at age 15, followed by a provisional license at 16, and finally a full license at 18. Teen drivers must complete at least 50 hours of supervised driving (including 10 hours at night) before taking the driving test.
Another distinct feature of New Mexico’s process is its "road test waiver" for those who successfully complete an approved driver education course. If you’re over 18, you can skip the road test if you meet all the other requirements, which isn’t common in all states.
New Mexico also has an optional REAL ID driver’s license, which meets federal standards for identification and is required for air travel and accessing federal buildings. It differs from other states that may require additional documentation for a REAL ID.
Additionally, the state has a strong emphasis on driver education, requiring drivers under 18 to take a formal class before they can get a license. The approach encourages both skill development and road safety awareness from a younger age.
