How old do you have to be to get a MOTO driver's licence in New York?
In New York, the age requirements for obtaining a motorcycle license are as follows:
- 16 years old: You can apply for a motorcycle permit if you're 16. This permit allows you to practice riding with certain restrictions, such as no passengers and riding only during daylight hours.
- 18 years old: If you’re 18 or older, you can obtain a full motorcycle license once you pass the written exam and road test, or by completing a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, which may allow you to skip the road test.
