The driving tests application is similar to the one from the DMV knowledge test. You will also find here tests for cars, motorcycles and cdl permit, that contain a series of random questions from the selected category, which must be solved in proportion to 80%, just like in the official North Dakota knowledge exam.
For CAR permit, You will have to answer at least 20 questions correctly to pass the exam, so you can get a maximum of 5 questions wrong. Study under identical conditions to those from the official driving test, so you will be more relaxed and emotionless when you are in the exam room.
The wrong questions are fallowed by clear and logical explanations, which you can see at the end of each ND permit test. An average of 2 hours a day spent here will guarantee your success in the exam and, more than that, it will make you a perfect driver, who knows the traffic rules and the road legislation. Success!
In North Dakota, the process for obtaining a driver’s license is relatively straightforward but has some unique aspects compared to other states. One of the key differences is the Graduated Driver’s License (GDL) program for minors. Teen drivers can start with a restricted minor's permit at 14, which allows them to drive with certain restrictions, like only having one non-family passenger under 18. After holding the permit for 6 months, they can move on to an unrestricted license at 16.
North Dakota is also one of the few states where you can get a license without a road test if you've completed a driver’s education course. If you’re over 18, you can skip the behind-the-wheel test after passing a written exam, but for those under 18, the road test is required, unless they’ve had driver education.
A notable feature of North Dakota is the lifetime driving record. Once you have a valid driver’s license, it remains in your record for life, meaning that even if you move out of state and return years later, your history is easily accessible.
Another unique aspect is the low-cost license fees and the ability to renew online without needing to visit the DMV in person, as long as you meet certain requirements. North Dakota also offers the option of a REAL ID license, which will be necessary for federal identification purposes starting in 2025.
