How old do you have to be to get a MOTO driver's licence in Ohio?
In Ohio, here are the age requirements for getting a motorcycle license:
- 15 and a half years old: You can apply for a motorcycle learner's permit at this age. You’ll need to pass a written knowledge test, and with the permit, you’re allowed to ride under certain conditions, like no passengers, no nighttime riding, and always wearing a helmet.
- 16 years old: You can upgrade to a full motorcycle license or endorsement on your driver’s license. To do so, you need to pass a skills test or complete an approved Motorcycle Ohio Safety Course. If you complete the course, the skills test can be waived.
For those 18 and older, you can go directly for the full motorcycle license after passing the written test and completing the skills test or a safety course. Always check with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) for the most up-to-date info!
